  1. Installation Notes for EasyASP version 3.5.1 Final!
  2. -------------------------------------------------------
  3. I have recently changed the way EasyASP is installed on your system. 
  4. There are not many steps involved in getting this program up and 
  5. working so none of this should be a problem. 
  6.  
  7. Please note that once you have installed EasyASP in this way you will never 
  8. have to do it like this again. EasyASP uses DLL's, some are included with 
  9. windows 95, 98, and NT and others you will have to download. I have included 
  10. some DLL's that are not very common to systems and these are installed with 
  11. the program. The other libraries that are required for EasyASP to run can be 
  12. obtained from:

  14. ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/Softlib/MSFILES/msvbvm50.exe
  15.  
  16. or you can get them from my web site.
  17.  
  18. These libraries must be installed before you install the program in order for 
  19. the program to run at all.
  20.  
  21. After downloading and installing that package follow these steps to install 
  22. EasyASP.

  24. Steps to install:
  25.  
  26. 1. Download and install the msvbvm50.exe package.
  27. 2. Download the EasyASP package.
  28. 3. Run the installation program and choose the Typical Installation option.
  29. 4. Click Start/Programs/EasyASP/EasyASP
  30.  
  31. You should now be up and running with the program. Good luck

  33. The above installation steps should work with all computers that run Windows 95, 98, or NT.

  35. System Requirements
  36. ----------------------------------------------------------
  37. Most are unknown but these should be about what they are:
  38.  
  39. Pentium 100
  40. 8 megs of Ram
  41. Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, NT 5.0
  42. Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater for the web browser feature
  43. Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater for the new Help System
  44. Internet connection for External file get and FTP feature
  45.  
  46. Please note: I do not know how many open documents you can have at one time. 
  47. I have had around 25 open with no problems. The program will show an error 
  48. when you have hit the limit and crash. I do not know what this is as I am sure it changes 
  49. from computer to computer depending on the amount of ram installed.

  52. If you have any problems just try deleting the libraries listed in the readme file
  53. and then reinstall the program.

  55. All known problems with the installer should now be fixed as I have now
  56. obtained a new copy of install shield.
